June Favourites: Delayed May Rain

Hey guys! It feels as though it has been forever since I did a favourites post. This month is kind of exciting because I went on a bit of a splurge on shoes and as well as accessories. Let's get started!

The radio this summer has been jammed with hits by Iggy Azalea. I really like "Fancy" and the other song she does with Ariana Grande, but I really love "Black Widow" which features Rita Ora. I have loved Rita Ora since I heard her song, "R.I.P" ft. Tinie Tempah. I love how the song has a upbeat electronica feel and then drops to a slower rift. It has complexity from simplicity if that makes sense. Parental advisory on this song however, as it is explicit.

I have been reading Freddie Huang's book, "Fresh Off the Boat". Freddie Huang is a New Yorker who owns the restraunt Bao Haus and has appeared on Vice as a correspondent as well as a guest on their  segment Munchies. The book is entertaining because you get a first hand look into what it is like for a Chinese-American in the early days of coming to a new country. I highly reccomend it because it is serious but also touches all the humour that is within families.

I actually bought these all this past month... It was a bit of a whirlwind but so fun!

I bought these two beauties and I couldn't be happier. So pretty!!!

Sorry for the long time in between posts, I had my HighSchool graduation and then I promptly started my summer full time position. I have been so busy and tired and hopefully things will get easier to post when I get my times all figured out. I love you guys and I will talk to you later! Bye!

Name change

Follow my blog with BloglovinI have changed the name of the blog! If you have any questions just contact me.
I changed the name as I previously mentioned in my last post that the previous name did not represent this blog or me anymore.
I love you guys and thank you so much for your support.
P.s. Pêche et Crème, is a nick name that I came up with based on what my mum calls my "peaches and cream" complexion.

So I don't know if you guys know but there is a beauty TAG circulating on the Internet. I figured that you guys might want to know a little more about me besides the little things I share. Please enjoy my answers!

1: What are you wearing?  Pajamas because it is currently 12:00 at night and I am still not sleeping. Probably not healthy, but oh well.
2: Ever been in love? Yes I have been.
3: Ever had a terrible breakup? No, actually.
4: How tall are you? I'm 5'2 (I am actually just 5'1.5 but I round up because it makes me feel better)
5: How much do you weigh? I guess this is important to be honest with. I am 162 pounds, but don't share that too loudly.
6: Any tattoos? No but I want one on my ankle
7: Any piercings? Yes, 1 on each ear. I really want to get another piercing on my right ear but not sure where specifically
8: OTP? There is a Korean variety show called Running Man. I really love the Monday couple. If you don't know what it is search it up
9: Favourite show? Hannibal. This is pretty recent though.
10: Favorite bands? I really love the Fray and Big Bang
11: Something you miss? Dance. I used to take dance in middle school and it was my favourite thing to do
12: Favorite song? My favourite song of all time is "Won't Be Long" by The Royalty
13: How old are you? 18 years old
14: Zodiac sign? Western: Aries, Chinese: rat
15: Quality you look for in a partner? A good sense of humour. I want someone that can make me laugh all the time because sometimes I need cheering up and laughing helps with that
16: Favorite Quote? "Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life"
 Pablo Picasso
17: Favorite actor? Joseph Gordon Levitt
 18: Favorite color? Red
19: Loud music or soft? Depends. My music choice is reflective to what kind of mood I am in.
20: Where do you go when you’re sad? Bed. Because bed makes me happy due to its snuggliness. But when bed isn't an option I usually go to a coffee shop or book store
21: How long does it take you to shower? 10-15 minutes normally
22: How long does it take you to get ready in the morning? At best 10 minutes at worst 30

24: Turn on? Backs. I love how a guys shirts flexes on the back muscles.
25: Turn off? Feet. Hate the smell, the look and the very thought of skunky feet.
26: The reason I became a blogger? I wanted to be able to express myself in a very open way. Writing requires a lot of thought into life and what others face. Being a blogger it allowed me to be self reflective as well as work on my skills to address an audience. I also started a blog because I wanted a way to connect.
27: Fears? Fire and hot water
28: Last thing that made you cry? The Fault in Our Stars movie
29: Last time you said you loved someone?  Before going to bed, to my parents
30: Meaning behind your Blog Name? I originally wanted to call it something else. I have been really influenced by fantasy fiction hence "the Odd and wondrous", but there was already a book called that. So when I wrote out the title to the blog I thought it would be more of a book site so I named it "cover to cover", to avoid copyright laws. However, has I have aged I have questioned whether to rename it. Should I?
31: Last book you read? The Bradshaw Diaries. I wouldn't reccomend it.
32: The book you’re currently reading?  Eddie Huang's "Fresh Off the Boat". It's good so far, but I only just started it.

38: Last place you were? London, Florence, Paris and Rome. At least the last interesting places I was.
39: Do you have a crush? Nope. My love life is pretty ad at the moment.

45: Last sport you played? Does boxing count?

50: Who should answer these questions next?

The Fault in Our Stars: Movie and Book

Hi guys! Remember how much I said I love John Green? I didn't? Well it would be fair to say that John Green is probably my favourite author. What I like about him? He's realistic. There's none of the childish drama that some novels have. It's real.
My particular favourite is "An Abundunce of Katherines" but "The Fault in Our Stars" comes in very close second. When I first read "The Fault in Our Stars", I had just watched my favourite movie, "50/50" with Joseph Gordon Levitt, Seth Rogan and Anna Kendrick. Both are about cancer and I was extremely emotional for probably days afterwards. My best friend literally had to drag me out of the fetal position of sadness so I would go to school.
Like everyone else around the world we are all flocking to watch the movie. I usually hate movies that were once books because I feel it ruins it, (my only exceptions were, Twilight, because they already sucked and couldn't get much better anyways and The Hunger Games, because that was "meh" in my opinion. These are both strictly personal, so please do not be offended if you like those books) but I can honestly say that "The Fault in Our Stars movie" did the book justice. On John green's YouTube channel that he shares with his brother, the VlogBrothers , John was part of the filming process and you could tell it was an authentic re telling. Both are separate entities but are born from the same mind. Both are great and one does no subs tract from the other.
One thing that I had to complain about the movie. They should but an advisory to come with tissues because I left the theatre a wreck and was literally sobbing. My best friend yet again had to almost drag me out of the fetal position of sadness.
Anyways, I loved both the book and the movie and I recommend both highly.

Advice Tuesday: How to Resist Peer Pressure

Hi guys! Today I really wanted to take the blog to a more serious topic because I feel that keeping silent about peer pressure will not help anyone. I dont usually broach these topics as not to upset anyone, however, as I have some pointers I want to share them.

There are a lot of things that the people in our lives want us to do. However, it is how we, individuals, determine what to do and not what to do is what makes us individuals.
Advice # 1:
If you feel it is a danger to you don't do it. I dont care if your friend is jumping off a bridge and they wont respect you. If they don't respect your choice they arent your friend.
Advice # 2:
Don't deny yourself oppurtuinities because you feel uncomfortable. If your friend is sugessting something to you and you know the activity is safe, don't deny yourself the oppurtuinity, because in that case your friend has your best interest in mind.
Advice # 3:
Illegal activities are a bad idea to get involved in. Even if you aren't doing the illegal act you can be charged for knowing the person, so steer clear of things like that.
Advice # 4:
Not all peer pressure is bad. Sometimes peer pressure helps you build character and allows  you to try new and exciting things that you never knew existed.
Advice # 5:
Saying no to things is okay. If, at any time, you feel uncomfortable you can say no.
Advice # 6:
But hear out the reasons why your peer wants you to do it. Sometimes, the peer is trying to push you to grow and you don't know it. Try to be open minded and hear them out first before you say no.

Anyways, I hope that anyone, young teen or older adult, this helps. The reason why I wanted to write a post about this is because I think it is important. Some of the advice is common sense, but also my own persoanl expereience. At times I feel uncomfortable, as does everyone else, however, it is okay to say no and know when to push yourself. That all comes with exposure.
My last little bit of advice is to not fear peer pressure. If you fear peer pressure, you lose sight of personal growth and goals, and in the end it holds you back.
I love you guys and I will post something lighter next time. Ciao!

Friday, 6 June 2014

Hi guys! Today I have a really cool find for you. I recently joined a site called, which allows the user to  suggest outfit ideas, receive outfit ideas as well as get in contact with fashion bloggers for their advice. The website is well organized and easy to navigate, which makes it fun to play around on. My favourite feature is that other people on the site can recommend looks based on items you have liked. It is such a great community and I highly recommend it if you like fashion or want to broaden your wardrobe and style.
